Warranty Disclaimer

Our Policy

SKY Music warrants its instruments to be free of defect in material and construction for 1-year from the date of purchase. Warranty excludes accessories and cases. Please see below for limitations and restrictions to this warranty. SKY Music will, at its option, repair or replace any item found to have been defective in materials or manufacture under the terms stated here. SKY Music shall be the sole arbiter of eligibility for warranty repair or replacement. Sky Music liability is limited to repair or replacement of defective items.

 

*All warranty repair must be accompanied by a copy of he original sales receipt, name of place the item was purchased, name of original purchaser, date and serial number if applicable.

 

SKY Music reserves the right to make changes to this warranty. The policies in place at the time of purchase will be honored.

 

Warranty Exclusions:

  • 1-year warranty applies only to original purchaser of instrument

  • Warranty does not cover shoulder rest, reeds, rosin, cases or other free accessories

  • For violins violas and cellos, warranty does not cover strings. Strings are delicate and generally break because of wear and over-tightening. 

  • Damage caused by neglect or misuse of instrument is not covered

  • Warranty does not cover deterioration from perspiration, high humidity, extreme temperatures, oxidation or tarnish of finishes, or other external causes.

  • Warranty does not cover repair work done to the instrument by unauthorized third party

  • Instrument adjustment is not covered by this warranty

  • Normal wear caused by normal use of items is not covered by this warranty

  • Natural products, such as wood, cannot be guaranteed against cracking, seam separation, warping of fingerboard or chipping.

  • Any protection plan sold by third party other than original one year manufacturer warranty will not be honored.

Instructions:

Authorized repairs must be made by SKY Music. When necessary to return an instrument  you must first contact our customer service department (support@skymusic.us). Shipping and insurance charges for instruments requiring warranty services are to be paid by the owner.
